Tenstitch Studio runs this site. In short: your pictures and charts are not sent to us. The rest of this page gives the details.
Pictures and charts
Pictures you choose are read and converted by your own browser. They are not uploaded to any server, and we cannot see them or your charts. Opening a built-in example downloads that painting from this site.
Stored on your device
- Your current chart, its picture and file name, its settings and your stitch progress, in this browser’s IndexedDB under “cross-stitch-pattern-maker”, so your work survives a refresh. Up to five replaced charts, with their pictures, also stay here under Earlier charts until newer ones push them out. Clearing site data removes all of it.
- “tenstitch-pending” in local storage, a brief copy of your latest edit written as you leave the page and removed on your next visit. It holds your chart, stitch progress, settings and picture file name, not your picture.
- “tenstitch:analytics-off” in local storage, if you switch statistics off below.
- A random visitor ID in local storage and a session ID in session storage, under names starting “wa_”, used by the statistics below.
Statistics
We run our own simple analytics, stored with Supabase, to learn which parts of the tool work and which fail. It records page visits without anything after “?” or “#”, time on page and scrolling, clicks on labelled controls, and outcomes such as “PDF built” with a number like the page count or colour count. It does not record your pictures, chart titles, typed text or IP address, and it does not identify you. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving this site, do not sell the data, and do not use it for advertising. We review at least once a year whether old data should be deleted. Browsers sending Global Privacy Control are skipped automatically: nothing is recorded, though the script file still loads from Supabase, and the switch below may still show on.
Feedback
If you choose to send feedback, your message, this site’s domain and the page path (without query or fragment) are sent to our feedback service, also hosted on Supabase, and stored so we can act on the issue. Please do not include passwords or other sensitive details. Nothing is sent unless you press send.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which handles the ordinary request logs any website produces. Fonts are served from this site.
Your choices
You can switch statistics off above, which stops all recording though the script file still loads, clear this site’s data in your browser, or send us a note through the contact page, though that form gives us no way to reply.
