About Tenstitch
Tenstitch is a free cross stitch pattern maker run by Tenstitch Studio. It turns a picture into a chart in your browser, with the thread and fabric sums alongside it. The name comes from the bold line that marks every ten stitches on a chart, the line stitchers count by.
How charts are made
Conversion follows fixed rules, described on the home page, and the same picture with the same settings gives the same chart. Pictures are processed on your device. See the privacy policy for what does leave it: statistics and any feedback you choose to send.
Thread colour data
DMC and Anchor do not publish RGB values for their threads. The 931 colours here are community estimates. For DMC, 454 come from the dmc package by Sharla Gelfand (MIT licence), and 35 newer colours, numbered 01 to 35, from a palette generator by Kyle Sletmoe (BSD-3-Clause licence). The 442 Anchor colours come from go-cross-stitch by Lindsay Landry (MIT licence). Tenstitch is not affiliated with or endorsed by DMC, Anchor or Pattern Keeper.
